As public water supply that gives services, many problems faced. Water sources get many treatments to make it can drink. Water treatment was done for getting better water quality. The water that we consume should have physic, chemical, and microbiology aspect. Based for water quality, water can be divided for three kinds ;

- Basic water

Water existing in nature world (ground water, surface water), that its quality haven’t have water standard.

- Cleaned water

It usually used for needs of household. Its quality almost have health standard if it is cooked before drink.

- Drink water, which have health standard and can drink directly.

Water sources that use to service inhabitants in Tanjung Mas take from surface water of Kaligarang River. Those sources were contaminated by household’s waste. That water was reduced year by year. It is caused waste’s sediment filled in that river.

In that company, there are some steps to treat water become high quality water. Domestic wastewater can be treated to high levels that let us reclaim the water for beneficial uses. Stringent requirements for the design, operation and monitoring of these reclamation facilities ensure that the resulting reclaimed water can be safely used for its purposes.

The first step in the treatment process is called preliminary treatment and consists of screens and processes that remove sand, rags, and other large materials. This is followed by primary sedimentation to remove relatively large solids from the water. Secondary treatment involves biological processes that cultivate microorganisms to stabilize organics materials in the wastewater. That step purposes to remove those microorganisms and other remaining solids from the water. Filtration is used to produce clear-water and to maximize the effectiveness of the disinfection process that follows. High-level disinfection, typically using chlorine, kills any harmful microorganisms that may remain in the water. Then we get high quality water can be safely used for a wide range of activities.
